 No. All of our services are billed flat-rate, not hourly. Whether a visit takes 1 hour or 5 hours, the cost is always the same. This ensures predictable billing and keeps the focus on results, not the clock. 

 No. For marine and reef clients, we install a professional water mixing vat on-site (cost: $400–$650, paid by the client). We use high-quality synthetic salt mixes, which provide cleaner, more consistent water than ocean water or pre-mixed jugs. 

 Ocean water may contain pollutants, parasites, bacteria, and seasonal chemical fluctuations. Synthetic saltwater is clean, stable, and precisely controlled, which keeps fish, corals, and plants healthier long-term. 

Most service companies charge $1.50–$2.00 per gallon for hauled water and $5–$10 per visit for filter pads.

• With S.O. Aquariums, a 200-gallon box of salt costs $60, and a filter floss roll that lasts 6–12 months is $80.

 Yes. Emergency visits are available at a flat $125 rate, subject to availability. These visits focus on stabilizing your aquarium quickly.

 Yes. S.O. Aquariums, powered by So Captures LLC, carries $1,000,000 / $2,000,000 general liability insurance. Clients may request a Certificate of Insurance (COI) at any time.
